The Department of Defense recently implemented the Homeowner's Assistance Program (the HAP, or DoD HAP program) for eligible armed forces and federal civilian employees who are upside down on their homes. Basically, the program will eliminate short-sale situations, by having the federal government step in and make up the difference in what a home sells for and what is owed on the home. There are limitations on price and ability to qualify! Please call me and I'll be glad to provide assistance!
